Less than a week to 'take-off' and fall is finally starting to show it's colors! This is the pond/lake at the campground. It's not much yet but it's coming!

We've had a wet week so far and today started with a whopping 45F! Yes! That's more like it!
Here's a few more from my walk yesterday, it's mainly the Maples that are coloring at the moment ..

These are a little dark, but you 'get the picture' ...

Sitting inside with my cozy heater on high (!), I heard a familiar honking sound ... Geese!
(familiar, because my beloved Audubon clock marks 5 o'clock (happy hour) with the sound of them)
Since it was only 11 am it had to be the 'real thing', and when I ran outside I managed to snap a picture of what indeed turned out to be the (my) first 'flock' of (Canadian) geese heading south for the winter.

By the way, apparently a group of geese is given a collective noun on the basis of their place. On land they're called a gaggle; in flight, it becomes a skein, team, or wedge.

While we're onto the wildlife topic, last week I came across this cute little Eastern Cotton-tail ..

And this beautiful Osprey, trying to hide from me in the Cottonwoods, which is getting hard since they have lost quite a lot of leaves already ..

James has made a start with roofing the dormers of the office building.
I'm not too happy about it, although here he is wearing a harness, but it takes only one slip ... (and we don't have insurance)

(here he is so not wearing a harness!) (just sayin' dear)

And here's some more of his work: a 'barn' door to access the room beneath the staircase that leads up to the attack, and a metal door he installed to close off those same stairs.

Well that's it, I don't have much else I'm afraid.
Other than James bringing the truck into the shop to outline the tires and blow out the break-lines, we didn't do much because of the weather.
Hopefully we'll get a little more sightseeing in this coming weekend, it'll be our last chance!

OK, one more sunset .. just because I can ...
